Our Mission

Legal Claim Calculators was built with one goal: to help everyday people understand their legal rights and the value of their claims before they walk into an attorney's office — or decide that one isn't necessary.

We believe that access to legal information should not be gatekept by expensive consultations or buried in legal jargon. Our tools use the same formulas and frameworks that attorneys and insurance adjusters use, presented in a way anyone can understand.

Our Tools

We currently offer 10 free, specialized legal calculators:

How We Build Our Calculators

Each calculator is based on publicly available legal frameworks: statutory benefit schedules, federal sentencing guidelines, SSA actuarial data, Title VII damage caps, and published legal research on settlement averages. We do not invent numbers — we codify the same analytical frameworks used by legal professionals.

All calculations happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We do not receive, transmit, store, or have access to any data you enter into our calculators.

Important Limitations

Our calculators produce estimates, not legal advice, and are intended for educational purposes only. Settlement values and outcomes in real cases depend on dozens of factors our tools cannot capture: specific contract language, witness credibility, the quality of your attorney, the specific judge or jury, the employer's financial situation, and much more.

Do not make legal decisions based solely on the output of any calculator on this site. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before taking legal action.

How This Site Is Funded

This site is free to use and is supported by Google AdSense advertising. We display ads from Google's network, which may include legal service providers, attorneys, and insurance products. The presence of advertising does not influence our calculator results, methodology, or editorial content.

We do not accept payment from law firms or legal service providers in exchange for favorable placement, recommendations, or modified calculator results.
